In 2021, I sat down with Zoom CEO, Eric Yuan. Our conversation focused on a critical topic — leading through uncertain times. The world was struggling through a pandemic, and the question on every leader’s mind was, “How do we help our teams through this crisis?”From that conversation, 3 key qualities emerged. Empathy, adaptability, and transparency.I believe these qualities are just as relevant today as they were in 2021. So, let’s look at how, as a revenue leader, you can help your team through tough times by embracing empathy, adaptability, and transparency. #1 - EmpathyGone are the days of business-only conversation.A decade ago, many leaders could get away with structuring their 1:1s exclusively around work. Talk through project updates and barriers, provide feedback, and call it a day. This approach overlooked the human side of the company. And it simply isn’t an effective model of leadership, especially during tough times.Today, empathy is a key ingredient.Empathy allows you, as a
Manager, Commercial Account Management Joe Gonzalez ( @JGonzalez) , shared that one interview question he asks every AM candidate is, “you have a large number of accounts; how do you prioritize that book?” The answers he gets are varied, but the key 🗝 to how he actions this for his team is by using Accounts in Clari. See how he answers, “Are we engaging with our top accounts?” at week 4 of the quarter: How do you prioritize your top accounts? Note: Accounts is a Clari add-on. If you are interested in learning more, contact your Clari Account Manager.
Hi all :)I was wondering if it is also possible to have a normal login option instead or in addition to SSO?By normal I mean with a user name (email) and password. I didn't find any resources on that.Any suggestions on how to enable this?
Filling the sales pipeline.Forecasting with accuracy and precision. These, arguably, are two of the most essential factors impacting revenue acceleration. And one that requires a delicate balancing act — having (more than) enough opportunities while accurately (and consistently) guessing what might happen next.We chatted with Jeremey Donovan, former semiconductor engineer turned EVP of Revenue Operations and Strategy at Insight. Jeremey comes to RevOps with an engineering mindset about how to solve problems and approach questions and processes with data and statistics. He’s “always geeking out — a learning machine who loves to read, to consume podcasts ... everything.”Our conversation with Jeremey on the Run Revenue Show explained several ways to “walk the tightrope.” The Insight team conducted a survey across its entire portfolio that yielded some fascinating findings.Specifically, the data from the Insight survey suggest the following three keys to maximize pipeline and forecast accur
Revenue Governance Governance…. Yes, I admit, excitement probably wasn’t the emotion you felt after reading that word. If you’re in SaaS, you probably want to stop reading right now, but I’m challenging you: Give one more minute of your time and then make the decision to continue reading or move on. Do any of these phrases resonate with you?I want to make data-driven decisions. I want my team to interact seamlessly with downstream and upstream orgs. I am growing this company to IPO. If you answered yes to any of those, it’s time to take your vitamins and learn about what governance means in a modern SaaS context. If you continue to ignore the concept, it will come back to haunt you at the most critical time (think right before that S-1 filing, when the auditors start really digging). Governance in the context of RevOps, one word - TRUSTUltimately, why focus on governance at all? The end goal of governance is trust. If I’m looking at this report or analysis, can I actually trust it? A

How often should I meet with my sales team -- as a group and for 1 on 1s.??What should be discussed in these meetings? What metrics should we look at?Thank you
Hi,Does anyone know if it is possible to download the data from the trend analysis tool? Thanks.
You've got a sales meeting with a big company. You're suited up, you've got a shiny demo deck, and you could rattle off your pitch in your sleep. And still, when the meeting ends, the client looks doubtful. You know that look. Closed-lost deal. For the fifth time in a row.Look up as many sales best practices as you want, but the key to closing large sales accounts is not a firm handshake or an amazing presentation. At best, these are the sizzles, not the steak.Abraham Lincoln famously said, if he had six hours to chop down a tree, he’d spend the first four sharpening the axe. In other words, laying in the groundwork. That’s the same philosophy behind Miller Heiman Strategic Selling.Introduced in 1985 by consultants Robert Heiman and Stephen Heiman, the sales method provides a proven framework for sales professionals to understand B2B selling and consistently close large accounts.Let’s take an in-depth look at what this sales strategy is and how you can use it to boost sales.Miller Heima

I want to link directly to opportunities in the grid view from tools outside of Clari, rather than provide a link directly to Salesforce, I want our AEs to go directly to that opportunity in the grid. Is this possible do we think?

AI is fundamentally rewriting what's possible in business. It's improving enterprise processes, unlocking new business models and use cases, and helping teams tackle challenges they didn’t even know existed. But nowhere is AI’s impact more noticeable than in revenue.Predictive AI, Descriptive AI, Generative AI – it's all coming together at lightning speed to provide revenue teams with real-time insights and automated actions across every revenue workflow. To help you lead the way with AI integration, let’s look at how revenue is changing today and where it’s headed from here. Tell us about your journey in the B2B tech market, what are you most looking forward to in your role at Clari?I’m a product builder and scaler. I’ve always enjoyed solving complex problems through products with a customer-first, founders’ mindset. I’ve been able to do this throughout my career – multiple times at Cisco, at Amazon, and most recently at Anaplan, both in consumer as well as enterprise markets. I’m looking forward to furthering that journey here at Clari – during a time of such immense transformational opportunity for the company and its customers.Another key aspect of my role that I’m particularly excited about is helping to continue building world-class product teams. I’m impressed by the culture we have here at Clari, which focuses f

Mark Parrinello is retiring. He's had a long and successful career in various sales leadership roles (Cohesity, Nimble Storage, NetApp, Kovarus, and CA Technologies, among others) and, most recently, as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at SentinelOne for the past four years.Over the past few decades, Mark has been, worked with, worked for, and hired all sorts of revenue leaders - from sales reps to front-line managers, to 1st/2nd/3rd/4th leaders, to CROs.He's seen it all.Andy Byrne, Clari CEO, chatted with Mark recently about his time as CRO, how he looks at hiring on the revenue side of the house, and how he thinks about (and runs) a revenue cadence.Let's start with the CRO, the fastest-growing job in America in 2023. What makes a top-notch CRO?We love a solid CRO. So much so that we launched our first annual CRO Awards in 2023. Not surprisingly, Mark is on the list.So we asked Mark what qualities he looked for in hiring his replacement, Michael Cremen."Someone who has seen $1-2B. A person
There are some scenarios where the forecast call only needs to be made at a certain level in the hierarchy - e.g. only the individual ICs need to make the call, or maybe only the manager levels need to make the call. It’d be great if we could mark a forecast call column as not required for a role type so that they dont see the red “x” if they don’t populate that forecast call.
When it comes to our customers, I’m with them, in the trenches every day. It’s a passion. It’s the most important part of my work as CEO.- Our customers (generally CROs & CEOs) deal with the biggest problem in the company – Revenue Leak. It’s a $2T concern, I feel their pain.- We solve problems together, making a meaningful difference in their companies – creating, converting and closing more pipeline.- We innovate together. Some of our best innovations have come from listening carefully to our customer’s needs. They are at the root of our innovations. If I’m not an active part of these conversations, I’ll miss critical business-building information. This is not bullshit by the way. We dotted line to the customer. It’s the job.And when they win, we win!.Some tips…1. Look ahead, book meetings, get a mix: Always ensure that your week is covering 3-5 customer calls (minimum) per week, across different segments and geos.2. Put your product manager hat on: How is your team building n
Is it possible to limit which fields are shown in a given mode? I’d like to import a bunch of different fields from Salesforce that are relevant to my business unit and how we track opportunities, but they aren’t relevant at all to Sales in the general sense. It would be great if I didn’t clutter up the main views that Sales use and have my team use a specific view for our purposes that expose the fields we primarily use. I know that folks can use the Configure Columns feature to turn off fields they don’t want to see, but with hundreds of users, it’s unlikely most will do that. I was hoping to be able to filter that down before it even gets to their particular view/mode.Thanks
RevOps is the secret weapon for successful B2B companies. RevOps is the secret weapon for successful B2B companies. Across every revenue activity, an empowered RevOps team will improve processes, spark communication, and drive efficiency. All with a single goal: Drive bottom-line growth. At September’s Charge Conference, Kyle Coleman (Former CMO, Clari) talked about RevOps with two top execs. Anil Kumar (Head of RevOps, Asana) and Haley Katsman (VP RevOps, Highspot) broke down the role of RevOps and their keys to success. Here are 5 takeaways:1. Set a North StarWhen RevOps kicked off a few years ago, leaders focused on bringing together Marketing, Sales, and CS. But experienced revenue operations leaders know they need to look beyond the org chart. Instead: Know your North Star. For RevOps teams, this means accelerating revenue as fast as possible. This North Star should drive every other action. Identify revenue impacts. With your North Star in mind, cast a wide net for revenue impact
2024 Revenue Operations WinnersThe RevOps work out there is mind-blowing Every day, RevOps pros dive head-first into the details. Data hygiene, forecasting, slipped deal reduction, seller productivity, and more. They deserve some major recognition. That’s why Clari launched the first annual RevOps Awards to celebrate standout performances. We asked for nominations. And you delivered. What. A. List. We’re excited that so many peers giving their RevOps colleagues the recognition they deserve.Across the board, RevOps pros are stepping up with innovative solutions and (frankly) brilliant tactics. It was tough to narrow this amazing list of nominees down. And this is only our first year hosting this award. We can’t wait to see what future nominations (and RevOps pros) bring. Without any further adoHere are the winners of our first Annual RevOps Awards.
